A better example for you would be Giuseppe Rossi who was BORN in the US and chose to play for Italy, clearly doing so for the prospect of playing for the better squad. I'm amazed that Fulham bought him and that Cardiff were happy to take on his substantial wages for the season. He must have a very good agent.
